Samruddhi Mahamarg Mumbai Nagpur Expressway.

Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway is a 701 km long and a six lane expressway. The expressway is officially known as Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. It runs past 390 villages and crosses ten districts of Maharashtra. It will significantly reduce the travel time between Mumbai and Nagpur. This is also a Greenfield project, announced in 2015, and land acquisition began in 2017. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for Mumbai Nagpur Expressway in December 2018.

The project aims to boost economic development in the state’s rural areas. Connectivity across regions will be provided, and it will act as a gateway to national and international markets. The expressway provides connectivity to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) in Mumbai and Nagpur- Multimodal International Hub Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN). To make the expressway a successful project, Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has been working day and night with impeccable skills and a futuristic vision.
